BMW R80 G/S • Originally R80ST • 1st registered 1st September 1984 • Restored Oct 2011 • Mileage over 30,000 (estimated) • Five speed Gears • Engine size 1000cc • Previous owners... Originally registered as an R80ST this was later converted to a G/S. Since March the bike has had its cycle parts completely refurbished, including; Powder coating to all mild steel and aluminium parts and where needed replacement of cables, HT leads, Emblems, Mirrors, Instrument cluster, Switch's, Seat/Rack, Bars, Cruise, fasteners and thorough repairing , cleaning and polishing throughout. There are many special details including; Stainless steel • Engine protectors • Main stand • Side stand • Pannier rack system • Exhaust heat guard • Fork brace • Wide off road foot pegs • Battery housing Aluminium; • Left and Right hand Panniers (Large Fabricated items, with hinged lids, stays and locks fitted to lids and pannier rack) • Instrument Panel cowling • Sump guard • Instrument panel cowling • 32 Litre Paris Dakar style fuel tank Other; • BMW GS1200 Adventure screen • Digital Clocks & Instrument panel • Renthal wide handlebars, grips and throttle cruise control • Interesting Number plate of some va Detail; • The Integrated Clocks & Instrument panel have Vapor digital Speedo rev counter, time, distance and temperature readouts, 12v Auxiliary Socket as well as Turn / Neutral / Oil / Charging indicator lights. • The Standard fuel tank has Twin Fuel taps fitted. • The front end is upgraded to Suzuki DR650 front forks, yoke, 21' wheel, disc and brake providing plush long travel suspension both on and off road. • The engine capacity has been increased to 1000cc with heads reworked with new squish band cut and hard seats Inserted by Scaremonger Engine Developments. • The rocker covers are Round style and fitted with Oil Filler Installed in LH cover for ease of filling. • The seat /rack s a Siebenrock unit. • The Rear shock is a Wilber unit adjustable for preload and ten stage rebound damping. • The 32 litre bespoke aluminium Paris Dakar Fuel tank has twin petcocks and aerospace style filler. (This was used in October 2011 when travelling to the Picos mountains in Northern Spain and provided 250 mile range) • The Panniers are large quality aluminium welded and riveted fabricated items, hinged lids with stays and locks fitted to lids and pannier rack.
